Oska Bright May Blog
02.06.2010, OskaBright This morning we made four important decisions about the future of Oska Bright;
1. The festival will stay at the Old Market in Brighton for 2011 and will again be held over three days. We will start with a launch just like we did in 2009 as this was really successful. A new young person's committee will be showing two screenings of films made by young people and the current committee will show three new screenings of short films. We hope that our International partners - Picture This Film Festival (Canada), Non-Profit Media (Hungary) and the Normal Festival (Czech Republic) - will also show some of their films. We are very excited about Oska Bright 2011.
2. We decided that we would carry on with Oska Bright On The Road and try and find a funder to give us some money so that this can keep on happening. It is very successful.
3. We decided we would keep working on our 'Film Machine' project, going into schools and day centres to show films and run film making workshops. We are trying to raise money so this can happen, we need £200,000 in total for the project to go ahead.
4. We decided we will make all of our films screenings available to hire from a page on our website. We are hoping that this will allow more people around the world to see the films and to know who we are. Watch this space!
