This month we have been getting ready to do a sponsored event to raise money to help us take Oska Bright to Australia. We need to raise about £6,000 for the air fare.

In Bognor, which is near us in England, there is a competition called “The Birdman of Bognor” – it is a crazy thing where people jump off of Bognor Pier to see how far they can get before they crash into the sea.

So – we are making an “Oska Bright Bird” and asking people to sponsor us to jump off of the pier! We have made sponsorship forms and are getting everyone we know to give us some money – no matter how small it is!

There are some photos here that show us making the “Oska Bright Bird” costume. Simon is going to be dressed up, and he will jump off of the Pier on Sunday the 12th September 2010. Some of us are going along to film him and take photos to put on our Facebook pages. Its going to be very funny and we hope to raise lots of money!
